About Us

Mavoko Boys School was established in 1990 with a vision to provide quality education for national development.

Our Story

Mavoko Boys' School was established in 1990 as a mixed day school, beginning in a single building with a handful of students. Over the decades, the school has grown into a thriving institution with modern infrastructure, serving both day scholars and boarders from Athi River, Machakos County and beyond.

Today, Mavoko Boys' School is home to 759 students supported by 47 teaching staff. The school is currently transitioning from the 8-4-4 system to the Competency-Based Education (CBE), reflecting Kenya's national curriculum reform as a C4 school, while continuing to deliver strong results under KCSE for its senior classes.

The school has built a reputation for academic performance, strong co-curricular participation in sports and clubs, and a disciplined, values-driven learning environment. Guided by our motto, "Serve and Excel," Mavoko Boys' School remains committed to producing well-rounded graduates equipped for further education and responsible citizenship.
